my2centsworth asked: I just started playing with beads last year, making necklaces and earrings, and I already have a lot of beads that I’m not sure I’ll ever use. Are there any sites for trading these beads, maybe something grab-bag style? It seems like it would be a good idea. I belong to a paperback book swap and I’ve saved a ton of money doing that, maybe swapping beads would be good too. Any suggestions?

Karen_Imm asked: Hi, I am an avid beader who enjoys buying beads. I now have thousands and have pondered the idea of putting together a beading club. For a reasonable fee members would receive a nice supply of good quaility beads each month. It could be a 3, 6 or 12 month commitment. Possibly a month of free beads if a member gets a friend to join. I know I would love a surprise package each month and am certain other beaders would also enjoy this. The greatest challenge is starting it on a small budget.

Dalarus asked: I am tired of using silver plated beading wire that ends up looking dark and brown within a year of making the jewelry. Is there a type of silver colored beading wire that does not wear down or change color over time?
For the record I’m not interested in sterling silver – that is way too expensive.

Parrothead asked: I just got my own room for my beading and now I need to find a way that I can organize them all. I have a lot and different containers, but I need some good ideas for storage and organization, such as shelves and other organizers.

Molls914 asked: I bought a beautiful off-white dress that has black beads all through it to wear to a fancy semi-formal xmas party. It’s very vintage looking. It comes just below my knee. Is off white a bad color to wear in the wintertime? I plan on bringing a black pashmina with me so if I get cold I can wear that too. Any thoughts?

RASHMI K asked: I have some Indian clothing and was trying to find a dry-cleaning place that knew how to clean them. The only place that I found told me that they were unable to dry-clean clothing with plastic beading, and would only do it if there was glass beading (which nobody does anymore because glass beading is so heavy).
Is this true? If that’s the case, is there anyone who knows a better way to clean salwar kameez or churidar?
